Your First Dance

Your first dance as husband and wife! For some couples, they dread the moment of being in the spotlight doing the awkward shuffle, and for others, it is the highlight of their night that they have planned and choreographed weeks before. 

Regardless of your love or dread for this moment, below are some tips to help you with you first dance as a married couple. 

 

Make it personal 

Enjoy the moment by making it special for both you and your partner through music. Pick a song that suits the both of you or that may have a meaning behind it that is specific to your love. If you love a song but thin it is not wedding appreciate, try finding another rendition of the song or an acoustic version. If you’re having a live band, have them create a cover. 

 

Short and Sweet 

You want to maintain the fun party vibes throughout the night. Two to three minutes is a great amount of time for your first dance and to have your guests engaged. You don’t want to risk dulling the mood! Keep the vibes going so that you and your guests can jump right back into partying. 

 

Be Present

Being present is key! Especially if you’re already nervous about being in the spotlight. Connect with your partner and be in the moment. Those three minutes will fly by fast when you’re in love.
